When I was researching my C-section, I read everything. I knew about the surgery, the hospital stay, the recovery timeline. I had lists and plans and a hospital bag packed weeks early.

Not really. Not the part where, six months later, it would still be the first thing I saw every morning — raised, red, and angry, long after everyone around me had moved on to asking about the baby. My OB was wonderful during delivery, but after the six-week checkup, I was on my own. No plan for the scar. No guidance. Just "it'll fade."
